Bridle Club Camps are strictly for Pre Beginners and Beginners ages 7-16 who have never touched a horse or maybe only ridden a couple times.
They learn horsemanship skills through hands on, chores, activities & games, as well as make new friends & swim during free craft time
Western Camp is a fun time for those novice through intermediate riders who have had consistent riding time or lessons. Campers will get to live and work like real cowboys & cowgirls do; working cattle, fencing, irrigating, working with young horses, roping and learning about rodeos and western shows. These buckaroos will get free time to play games, swim, and even do some western crafts!
English camp is where the young novice to intermediate equestrian who would like learn more, or hone their skills in hunter seat, jumpers, or eventing!
Riders learn through cross training, playing games, jumping, building jumps & courses, riding skills patterns, and perfecting their seat. During craft & free time campers will get to swim, and enjoy building memento to take home.
While each camp has a different itinerary, all camps offer the same amenities.
Every camp is restricted to 7-18 years old, they are not divided by age but rather ability. We do not mix abilities for learning and safety reasons. Horses do not care how old someone is when being ridden, they just expect the rider to do their job in the saddle, as such each camper will be expected to do the lesson given them no matter their age, while we do give out lessons according to physical size as well as learning ability, a 16yo pre-beginner will not get the same anatomy coloring page as the 7yo beginner but they will get the same lesson in anatomy and the same goes for any physical tasks, a extremely petit 11 yo would not have the same task as a tall 9yo, depending on their physical and mental capabilities. However we do teach problem solving here and will help teach riders to work independently as well as with their team!
All units may be taken individually or in order so returning students may increase their knowledge and abilities as they come back.
Units 1 Gives campers the basic skills they need to succeed in that camp & once they leave.
Units 2 Increases knowledge & abilities to help riders ride more independently on their own
Units 3 Brings all lessons full circle & shows campers their hard earned skills by "leveling up"
